What can you expect from the PW website?
Thanks for coming to the PW site; this is where I publish my latest work and provide insights into how and why it has all been created.
Telling a story
For some time I've wanted somewhere I can showcase my work, but somewhere I'm in complete control of. Instagram has been a useful outreach tool but constrains both consumers and artists in how they take in and provide work respectively. I'll continue using Instagram as a means of contacting people and providing a consistent shop window for quality images.
However, here I will be providing higher resolution imagery, presented in a way which offers the best I can provide in every picture. For me, presentation is almost as import as the composition itself. A good photo presented poorly can result in something which is simply disregarded or not respected. When printing, mounting and framing photos one would take care to ensure the frame suits the colours and composition of the image; there is no reason why digital mediums should have anything less than the same level of care.
Presentation is almost as important as the composition itself

What's next
This site is primarily divided into three major sections: Projects, Blog and Portfolio.
Projects are collections of images which I have created with a common theme or motivation behind them. In general I form the idea of the project before taking any photos as a means of maintaining a specific driving force for any particular shot. Projects on this site are created specifically for website consumption and are carefully presented in a way which explains the context, meaning or techniques in the images. These are standalone pages.
My blog (as you are already reading) is my outlet for more written work, explaining my current processes, news or just general findings. Here I also post reviews of gear and I post Capture Stories as written accounts of how I created certain pieces.
The Portfolio is the main collection of images which feature in projects as well as other photos which may not have made the grade into a Project but are still interesting. These are presented more as a photo album for general viewing.
Thanks for visiting and I hope to provide regular updates to all parts of the site!
Feel free to get in touch and let me know in the comments what you think.

Great work, can't wait to see more!
